About

Studying Fine Arts at NADC is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to experience hands-on studio-based classes at Western Sydney’s premier art school. All we offer a range of full-time and part time study options in fine art, visual arts and contemporary craft and ceramics. Our courses are taught by artists with strong and current exhibition practices. Click on ‘read more’ for information on courses available.

What we teach:

The art school has well equipped studios and facilities in the areas of painting, drawing, printmaking, art photography, ceramics, art history/ theory and digital art. We have an emphasis on practical learning, with most lessons being a combination of teacher demonstration, which is followed by student practice. Feedback to the student is delivered one on one, and also via class discussion. As well as rigorous technical and conceptual training in fine art, our courses prepare candidates for the arts industries by integrating training in arts-related areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, professional practice, arts marketing, and digital media.

What our graduates do:

Graduates in our courses have gone on to successful careers in a range of areas including studio-based art practice, gallery management, arts administration, art education (including school teaching, adult education and gallery-based education) curatorial practice, community art practice, art retail, and artwork installations.
